Nandlal Narayanan,
career human resources professional obtained his Bachelor's Degree
in English Literature from the Madras University, (Chennai) and
completed his Post Graduation in Industrial Relations and Human
Resources Management from the prestigious Xavier Labour Relations
Institute (XLRI) Jamshedpur, Bihar, India in 1974.
In a career spanning close to three decades he has provided strategic
and operational human resources services including industrial relations
to the banking, manufacturing, telecommunications and retailing
sectors in India.
He has worked with Indian Overseas Bank, now a nationalized Indian
Bank, Eicher Goodearth Ltd., a manufacturer of tractors, farm equipment,
diesel engines and light motor vehicles, Kalyani Brakes Ltd., a
manufacturer of automotive braking systems established in collaboration
with Allied Signal and The Nippon Braking Company Japan, Unilever
Group companies in India (Brooke Bond, Hindustan Lever, and Ponds
India), BPL Innovision Business Group a premier wireless mobile
telephony service provider, Reliance Petroleum Ltd., the country's
largest petroleum refinery in the private sector, and Watson Wyatt
India Pvt. Ltd., a human resources consulting firm.
He specializes in facilitating organizations set up effective human
resources management systems, customer centricity, leadership assessment,
finding solutions to business problems using a consensus approach,
and implementing operational and strategic initiatives. He has extensive
experience in industrial relations, change management, leadership
assessment, and organisation structuring, compensation and performance
management.
He is a certified "Management Grid " facilitator, a "PI"
consultant, has obtained certification in 5S and Gemba Kaizen, and
trained extensively in enabling organizations become customer centric
with Service Quality Center (SQC) Singapore.
